i have finally gotten back to working on the 1938 maple leaf truck and i need a few parts. i'm missing the park brake cables that bolt on to the backing plate for the rear brakes.
also where does a fellow get wheel cylinders and wheel seal??

Hy King of Obsolete, are you looking for front or rear wheel cylinders, and front or rear hub seals? If you're looking for rear hub seals, then we may need to know if the rear axle is a single speed or a two speed unit? I did check my Jim Carter catalog for the brake cables and the largest truck they are listed for is a 3/4 ton, they may indeed work, but more research is needed.

3B thansk for the replay. the maple leaf has a 2 speed rearend which is nice to operate. i usually order about 2-3 times from jim carter or when the money tree blossoms. i have been watching ebay but nothing comes up on the park brake cables. usually on one and i need 2. i think it might be easier to go with new wheel cylinders then to hone and hone some more on getting new rubber and such install. on the 1948 sedan delivery i went new master cylinder, wheel cylinders and new rubber hoses and it saved a lot of time on getting the vehicle on the road.
