For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 175 Member | | Member Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 175 | Were the underside of the fenders (AD trucks) painted body color or were they black? | | | | | Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 90 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 90 | I have crawled under an HPOF(Historicaly Preserved Original Features) 1953 Chevy Truck at Hershey and noted that the insides of the fenders were body color (but it was a Black Truck so that does not really answer your question LOL). Actually, I understand that they were all body color on both sides. I am considering applying a "rock guard" coat inside the fenders with the "body" color top coat over it (this is a driver). I may do the same as I plan to drive my restoration but do want it to be as near original as possible. | | |
