I've been told that is a difference between the 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton long beds. What is that difference?

Regards,
Larry

I'd be suprised - never heard that - maybe they were thinkin diff tween the "normal" long box and the 9' "extra long box" used on the 1 ton? or were confused about there not being a 3/4T short bed? or maybe they were just phord phreaks? grin

On Chevy ADs, 1/2 ton has 6'6" bed
3/4 ton 7"6" bed, 1 ton 9" bed.

Frames and suspension were lighter for the 1/2 ton, along with 6 lug wheels. The 3/4 and one ton had a heavier frame and suspension and 8 lug wheels.

I have a 59 – ¾ ton long bed. The bed measures 97” long.

Thanks for all the input. I had a chance to get under the trucks this morning and measure the mounting points. At least on the 65 C10 and 63 C20 there does not seem to be any difference on the mounting points, the beds should interchange without any problems. When I first took a measurement I thought there was an inch difference between the mounts closiest to the cab.

Larry
