Any idea what this hole in the floor behind the seat box would be for? I know the one to the left of it with the bolt in it mounts the cab. However, I am not sure about this other one. Is it also a cab mount or does anyone know what it's for. There is also one on the driver's side exactly the same. See picture below. Any ideas? As always, thanks fellow StoveBolters!

Hy Big Tee, it's just a guess, but could they be for the fuel tank straps?

After further review of several photos of different trucks, these holes are in all the photos. I now believe they were for mounting on different frames.

No on the fuel tank straps as the tank was in the box under the seat but thanks 3B.

Thanks Harold, but the indention in the floor is factory around both holes.

I was told these extra holes were also used for cab mounting and I await pics to determine if that's true.

Your probably right tee, The extra hole was used for different size/series frames.

My '46 half ton project has the same holes. The cab had never been off the frame until I did so. The holes were and are a puzzle to me too. These cabs, as I understand it, were the same for the larger trucks too, so the It does seem possible the holes could have been used on the larger truck frames.

I intend to use them to mount a seat belt bracket, when I get to that stage.
