Before disassembly all worked fine. Is a clutch adjustment needed? How is that done? One added info bit, the clutch/brake assembly was reinstalled after cleaning and painting. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2010 Posts: 775 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Aug 2010 Posts: 775 | It sounds like the clutch is not pressed against the fly wheel. Can you crank the engine and the truck will move. Or roll the truck in gear and see if the engine turns. As I recall when you put stick cover on there a forks that go over the rings on the gears. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 Riding in the Passing Lane | | Riding in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 | You must have missed the grooves in the rails. Be sure the trans is in neutral. If nessesary put a long screwdriver in the hole & move a rail until the grooves/slots line up. The put the tower or lever down making sure it goes in the slots. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Thank you. The problem was the lever was not in the seat correctly. It shifts fine now. Dang, getting old, slow of body and mind and memory sure stinks! But, I'm thankful none the less. | | |
