Anyone know where to buy these rear leaf spring hangers do any vendors sell them or are they parts wanted section. Mine is busted and farmer rigged it's on 51 chevy 4400 I would take it off my other truck but would like to keep both trucks rolling as they are in two different locations.

Can you post a photo of what you want to replace?

Are you referring to shackles or the hanger attached to the frame?

You might want to try to find the part in the Master Parts Catalog, so you can post what size trucks and year trucks used the same parts.

I had a broken hanger on my 3/4 ton. The entire bottom was broken with nothing holding the spring. I had a machine shop rebuild. Pictures here. Hope this helps. Good luck and have fun

I would almost bet they are the same as the 3/4ton & 1 ton because the 3/4 & 1 ton use the same mounts & they also use a spacer that is about 1/2in wide so the clevis doesn't move side to side. The 4400 springs are 2.5" wide & the 3/4 & 1ton springs are 2" wide. Remove the space they use w/the clevis & you should be able to use that mount with your springs.

Looked at the oldcarmanual could only find listing for 1/2 ton trucks and pass not sure if I looked in the right spot but that thing is hard to read

Does the factory assembly manual have part numbers in it because I found the rear spring rear bracket number 3656668

I could not find that part number in the Master Parts Catalog.

I could not find a listing for the part, either. Maybe someone will try to look it up?

I don't mind looking just don't know where to look

Take some measurements, how far it sticks out & how wide it is & I'll compare them to the ones on my 1 ton I have.

I don't think you will find anything that is riveted to the frame in a parts book. Dealers weren't equipped to do rivets so even 60 years ago it would have been a factory or a salvage yard item. I have only GMC. How big is a 4400?

Crenwelge 4400 is a 1 1/2 ton truck like a 2 ton

I have 1 ton and 2 ton AD trucks and best I can tell those hangers are the same, also same as 3/4,ton, and 1.5,ton.
One on my 1 ton is worn, I have salvaged one from a 2 to. But yet to replace it.
Should also be same part at all 4 corners of the rear springs, so lots of those hangers out there for the picking.

80 grit I came up with 5'' from frame outward,3 1/2''center to center top riviots,and 4'' from bottom of bracket to center of top riviot

I just checked my 1 ton & the measurements match exactly.
