Has anyone purchased and mounted fiberglass front fenders for 1941-46 1/2 tons? I am in need of fenders and will go the fiberglass route if they fit well. Any references on suppliers is appreciated. thanks

OLd Spoke, I bought some about 14 years ago from a company in Ga. I think the name was Fiberglass and Wood. I don't know if they are in business still. Their front fenders were a good fit except around the sides of the lower grille. Whatever fender they used for a mold, must have been in a bad wreck before they got them. I worked on them with body filler and got the curved shape back where it was supposed to be. The rest of the fender was shaped ok. The rear fenders fit fine. There were no mounting holes in the flanges. They have held up good so far. I don't know anyone that has bought any recently, from any company.
Maybe someone in this forum has purchased some later model fenders, from a vendor that makes the 46 fenders. The quality should be the same even though the model isn't.

Old spoke....I have a 40 chevy 3/4 ton pickup and I replaced all 4 fenders with fiberglass ones that I purchased from R&R Fiberglass and Specialties located in Cleveland, Tn. I purchased them in December of 99 for a total cost (including shipping)of $655.00. They fit just fine. You can email them at [email protected] or call them at 423-476-2270. Hope this helps.
