gusco Shop Shark G Joined: Feb 2015 Posts: 285 South Texas	I have a '53 GMC with a block labeled "3837004". Does this mean it has a Chevy 235 in it? The head reads "3835913". I appreciate any help. I just picked this project up and I'm trying to ID the parts to make sure I get the right parts.

gusco Shop Shark G Joined: Feb 2015 Posts: 285 South Texas	Thanks! I'm planning to do the brakes, check the gas thank for leaks, run a fresh fuel line, and try to test fire. The engine seems to have a alternator, not generator. Can anyone suggest a safe method to test fire in case some parts are still 6v?
