I searched older threads for info on moving the cab to the P&B shop. The doors, and dash are off and I'd like to remove it, again, from the chassis so the firewall gets painted. I checked the photo gallery links and noticed at least two guys moved their cabs as I would like to as well. My question: does this make later door alignment etc a problem best avoided? I vaguely recall a thread discussion along these line, but could'nt find it.

I think the main concern is the bottom edges of the cab, be sure to have it on blocks where the body mounts go then you should be ok. I lifted it from the bottom so as not to smash the rain rail above the door openings. Scott

I placed some foam where the bed was(others have used a mattress) and just rolled it on its back(rear window) and lifted it off. Doors, dash, innards were removed. Three guys could lift it off. I didnt have any issues with the doors but I made new door bottoms about 6-7 inches up and fitted doors to cab. I've heard where others cross braced the cab to maintain clearances but I didn't have those issues. I mounted cab using the original mounts when fitting the doors. I have some pictures but most were lost when Webshots went down. Hope this helps. Have fun and good luck
Dan

Two of us have been living my cab the last couple of days. 4 makes it very easy, but it is doable with two.... But you need to watch those corners. I did put in long bolts in the body mount holes so they hit the ground before the bottom of the cab sheet metal!
