What I hoped was just a blown head gasket, turned out to be a cracked head. Local engine shop said he had a head that would work. After an X ray of his head, it had a crack. Turns out the 235 were bad about cracking the head. All the heads you see online are " buyer be ware" no guarantee of no cracks.
Any advice, besides throw 235 out and put in a small block !!!
