Hi all
Installing Patricks rear end kit in my '52 GMC and have a question. It seems like the instructions show that the big double row front pinion bearing should have a visible loading notch. My new bearing doesn't have that notch. I see it on the old one but not the new. The only thing that is different on the 2 sides of the new one is the writing on one side. I called Patricks and left a message but I was hoping to get some more done this weekend.
Thanks!
Jim

If there is no loading slot it makes no difference which way it goes.

I don't mean to be skeptical, but you're sure right. Hate to get it in and have to pull it again. Would mean a new bearing probably.
That's what it looks like to me but just wanted to make sure.

I am quite sure, but does anybody else want to back me up?
I have replaced or installed some where around 50 of these pinion bearings.

Thanks shark
Got it in and all works good. Gotta wait for the weather to take it on the road though.
Looking forward to 55 mph!
