Gents,
I need some help locating a bolt hole on the firewall for the vintage air evaporator unit. Apparently I have some sort of deluxe heater? And don't have bolt holes in the same place that they expected.

Needless to say, I need to locate and drill the hole in the firewall for the evaporator bracket. Can anyone please take a picture of the bracket or where the bolthole is in the firewall on the front side?

Does the bolt run through the brace inside the firewall?

Thank you so much.
Seth

It might help to post what year you are working with.
I have a Vintage Air kit ordered for my 56. I may run into the same problem.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

Just installed my evaporator....instructions are pretty vague...on the outer side I used the hood bolt. I used a longer bolt from the outside thru the weld nut and used a nut on inside and added the bracket to that with another nut. On the firewall I had to drill a new hole as mine was filled in by PO. also I didn't have the blower motor hole and had to drill new 4 " hole for lines all in all it turned out great. Send pm and I can text pics
