For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Apr 2016 Posts: 102 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2016 Posts: 102 | There are lots of posts in the drivetrain section, but in my 48 3/4 ton, I used a 4.11 axle out of a 2004 chevy 2500 HD. The parking brake cables work and look ok also. faster gears, disc brakes... The only draw back is the new axle is ~4-5 inches wider.

Same width as original. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 5,096 Crusing in the Passing Lane | | Crusing in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 5,096 | They come in vans and pickups, dually, all different widths, get out your tape measure to find what width fits your truck, then you know what truck to look for ratio in.
