on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2014 Posts: 3 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Aug 2014 Posts: 3 | Any insights available - I put an Edelbrock 1803 carb on my Chev 305ci V8 back in August. It has been tuned up and runs fine - until the other day when out driving the carb flooded out in an intersection. Read up on issues and talked to some people and the problem seemed to be stuck floats. Quick fix was suggested "rap the sides of the carb with a screwdriver handle". Seems to have fixed the problem so far. My big question is - will this reoccur? and if so, what should be done to preclude this problem? Fuel filter is new, gas should be good - not old. Any suggestions or advice? TIA. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2014 Posts: 55 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Dec 2014 Posts: 55 | Probably just some junk in the gas. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2013 Posts: 568 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2013 Posts: 568 | what does the entire fuel system on your truck consist of? Pump mechanical or electric, filters placement? How many miles on this carb? How did you set float levels initially.
