i have a 52 chevy 3800 1ton. i painted the interior 7272 color. can someone tell me the color of steering wheel and mask. thanks
also if i can get it in spray cans

wow that looks good. But i'm confused, that color is a bronz and my steering wheel is gray. but your color looks gray. what am i missing

dad is that 7272 on interior. that is what i put on mine. what did u put on floor under mat. truck looks great

I used the 7272 spray cans on the interior

I covered the floor also with that same color but probably didn't need to because its covered with jute and a mat.

The paint I used kinda match what I found on my 50. But it may not be correct and of-course may not have been used on other AD years.

If you used the 7272 the the 7754 is a good contrast for the wheel, mast and shifter.

the color will not match the gray listed in the link above



I painted my truck 4 years ago. The spray bombs have held up well.

With the cost of the spray can now it may be cheaper to get the touch up gun from harbor freight and buy a quart of paint from one of the vendors.

No sure, one pictures uses flash, the other is outside no flash.

to me it has a purple tint

I thik he used "real" paint, not rattle can.

You seldom can get much out of a picture, especially when it has been shredded into a billion pieces, transported, then re-energized on another computer (I'm pretty sure that's how computers work, right?).

I tweaked an existing martin senour color and it came out pretty close. If you mix 373 grams of 49727 warm grey and add 5.6 grams of 9842 russet red and 13 grams of ts218 black. It can be mixed in single stage, base coat with a flat clear or in rattle can. Dustin

I didn't use any clear on my interior

I've seen pictures whit the clear on it and they look real nice.

What kind of prep is needed for painting a steering wheel on a 1948. I have sanded off the previous owners paint and what was left of the original. Since it's paint on rubber is there any special primer or can I just use my rustolium rattle can primer. I am using the 7754 for the finish coat.

I've seen some reference to Bulldog Adhesive promoter, which I'll use when the time comes. Seen it at the major auto parts stores. Mike

Our local stores didn't have the Rustoleum adhesion promoter so I bought a Krylon product. I did a test spray on a piece of inner tube. Can't get more rubbery than that. I washed it with grease and wax remover, then the adhesion promoter, then Rustoleum primer, then the top color Rustoleum 7754. I wanted to see if there would be a reaction between the promoter and the primer since they were two different manufacturers. Came out great. No crawling or bubbles, and the paint seems really well adhered to the rubber. Now I'll get ready to paint the steering wheel.
