Where can I get huck brake parts?

At a minimum I need a wheel cylinder kit and a (heavy) break shoe return spring for the rear on a 51 GMC 1-ton. I could also use shoes but could clean up the fluid saturated shoe if necessary.

Will any 3/4 ton brake parts work on a 1 ton?

Thanks again

Chevs of the 40s has wheel cylinders and kits for the 1 ton trucks. I do not know about the return springs.

Several of the suppliers carry the return springs and most of them carry the kits. Go to the links section and then look at the online catalogs.

I think that you will need new lining. There are places that will reline your shoes or some of the same suppliers carry the shoes, with a core trade.
