I just bought a real nice '52 Five Window street rod pickup truck and want to install a Third Brake Light inside the cab at the rear window position.

Can someone suggest a vendor, or decent light assembly for interior installation mentioned above? Any ideas and/or personal mod's would be appreciated as well.

I purchased two of these from J & L enterprise. Their website is jandlenterprise.com. I installed one in my Camaro and will install the other in my 55.1 cab. Installation is straightforward and it works well in my 2nd gen Camaro. They were very good to deal with. I see you are in NJ. They are in CT so are fairly close. There are other options but I met them at the car show up in Rhinebeck NY and am happy with my purchase.

Those are very nice units, the best I've see on the market yet.
That along with a pair of LED standard taillights would really go
a long way in lighting up the rear end of a stovebolt.
I believe one of the 'bolters here posted the installation of one
in his truck a while back. I think it might have been Gus???
Is your 55.1 a 6v system Kery? I noticed in their 6v installation
instructions that it's only shown for a Positive ground. That
seems sort of odd to me because most 6v systems other than the
GMC's were Negative ground. Shouldn't be any problem, just
reversing the yellow/green with the black/white would reverse
it. Don't know why that isn't noted in their instructions.

Here's what I used,a 3rd light 'pirated' from a Nissan Micra, there are many others suitable for this too.

I masked off the glass and used glass primer (used in bonding glass to bodywork.)
I then attached it using 3M double sided tape.

Fixing it to the glass avoided any metal surgery and being L.E.D. should last a while too,if in the event it fails i'll just get another.
Cheap, effective, nice and bright and gets the job done.

My 55.1 was converted to 12 V before I got it. All the electrical devices that are now working are now 12 V.
