I have a 2 piece bell crank. One portion of the bell crank has a screw stop adjustment that bumps up to a lip attached to the other portion of the bell crank. Will this bell crank work with a '61-261 w/ a Rochester 1 bbl carb? Or should I be using the "simple" one piece bell crank and use the dash mounted choke and throttle control. Thanks for the input

A 1961 261 will not have the mounting provision on the side of the engine for the earlier linkage.
If you modify the block as I do (blog post about it) you will be able to use that earlier style.

I don't have a pic of the complete linkage setup, but HERE is a pic of the return spring setup I made.
