I am sure there is a 54 3600 long box, all the Canadian documents I have says it is and the Ministry of Transportation agrees. It was made in Ontario. pic 1 pic 2 pic 3 pic 4 So is it just the back that is bolted? Thanks. Ken

Canadian trucks didn't use the 3600 designation. | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,262 Bubba - Curmudgeon | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,262 | There is one size 1954 3600 box (Chevrolet 3/4 ton in USA). It is not a long box; it is a 3600 box, which is longer than the 3100 box and shorter than the 3800 box. I am not sure about Canadian Chevrolet trucks having long/short boxes on 1/2 tons and/or on 3/4 tons.
1954 USA GMCs had a 1/2 ton short box and a 1/2 ton long box. I think the 3/4 ton GMCs had one-size bed (the same length as the 1/2 ton long bed).
"Are the running boards bolted onto the front fenders as well as the back fenders?" Sorry about my terse "no" answer, but it correctly answered your question.
Was/is your running board connected to the front fender?

I have been assembling this truck myself with a few old pictures, a few books and of course this awesome site. I had the bed wood made for me out of oak, it measures 89" long and the widths are 4 1/4", 5" and 7 1/4" as is shown here. cletis, what was the designation 3/4 ton trucks had in Canada if they didn't have the 3600 designation? Thanks for the replies. Thanks.
