All of the examples I have found are for a Chevy. I found the sticker (SP105) and odometer (SP180) replacement kits from Jimmy Carter I cannot find new bezels or seals. Does anybody know where I can find them? I need an entire new oil pressure gauge because it is not correct. I would love to have a factory tachometer. Are those made by anybody? | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 | No one has posted information on a 6v or 12v modern tachometer that fits that hole.
GMC sold one (I think by Stewart-Warner, with GMC on it) and S-W sold non-GMC-branded tachs that fit the hole. I have a non-GMC-branded one that I have never installed. Its "sender" sits under the distributor cap.

Is this going to be incredibly hard to find? | | | | | Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 70 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 70 | Tim - Can you post a picture of your tachometer with any relevant part numbers?

Does anybody make them for the GMC gauges? | | | | | Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 10,301 Renaissance Man | | Renaissance Man Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 10,301 | Have you looked into having them re-chromed? I know it is usually spendy. Maybe you can do some trading with a technician to sneak those tiny pieces in the vat while the boss man is out to lunch. Budweiser is better than money in these instances. Carl

I could have them dipped with my grille when I finally get around to doing that. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2000 Posts: 1,399 Camp Commandant | | Camp Commandant Joined: Nov 2000 Posts: 1,399 | A little late to the thread but I was able to restore the bezels on my gauges. these are off my 860. They aren't perfect, a little dinged up but they came out nice enough. I will see if I can find a part number on the tach too. http://s1366.photobucket.com/user/M...g7_zps801eb0e0.jpg.html?sort=6&o=179 | | | | | Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 70 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 70 | Nice work Billy! How did you clean up your bezels? Where do you find a new gasket? | | |
