Long overdue, my old shop is getting some much needed repairs and updating.
The new metal roof turned out better than I had hoped. Had to strip off 2 built up roofs and replace 32 sheets of plywood.
The new garage door also looks pretty good. It'll be painted to match the roof and so will the new man door.

The Mrs say's I need to put a bed in it now and I told her don't give me any idea's

I don't have anymore fears of the roof collapsing on my 'Bolt now.

Cool looking shop Dave. How big is it and roughly how much would
it cost to get a new metal roof installed? I've got a 40x80
pole building that it about 35 years old and I think I'm
gonna be needing a new roof in the not to distant future.

Thanks Denny. The blding is 30x40 (1200sq ft) and the roof pitch is a 4/12.
The metal cost $1600 and the additional plywood, 2x4's, 1x4 facia trim all the way around, hardwr etc., ran around $500.
I paid 3 fellows to knock it out and had to pay a dump fee for two 1 ton loads so all in all I've got around $4k in it.
My original roof was so bad I had to replace most of the plywood and that took an additional day of labor.

The metal carrys a 40 yr no rust warranty.

I got a couple quotes from a couple business that specialize in roofing and one was $8k and the other $10k.

My advice would be to not wait as long as I did and to shop around.

That's a nice looking roof. You sure picked the right color.
Are the panels fastened to furring strips, or directly to the deck?

Thanks Jim, no furring strips, they are fastened directly to the deck.

Thanks Dave. I've been up on the roof this past week putting up
a chimney flashing. Building was built somewhere in the late
70's or early 80's and it's still solid, dint see any rust but
it isn't gonna last forever. Cost was less than I had thought.
