I recently bought a steel fender for my 62 from Chevyduty.com. Not only did it not fit properly, leaving large gaps, but the "nose" didn't match the contour of the front body panel. I had already painted the darn thing. I spoke with Carrie at Chevyduty and she told me that she would send a fiberglass replacement at no cost to me. At first she said that she would send a return receipt for the metal fender then decided that she didn't even want the metal fender back.

I want to express my thanks to Carrie at Chevyduty for the great customer service that she provided. She acknowledged the problem and took care of it. This kind of understanding from a business is becoming increasingly rare.

Now what to do with the metal fender...?

Good idea! They already sent me the fiberglass fender. It looks great. That steel fender is going to need lots of "tweeking". The nose would have to be bondoed to conform and then I'd have to rework the metal. Not worth the time and I might make it worse. I'll sell it as is.
