Hi BC bolters. I am looking at a 1952 chevrolet 1300 1/2 ton short box pickup that is for sale but I dont know much about these trucks. It is stock with 6 cylinder (235? or 216?) 3speed and it is completely stock. It has a nice older paint job (about 9 years ago) and shines nicely.Chrome grille, chrome front and rear bumpers.Any idea what it might be worth? Not perfect but a great driver show truck.Any concerns to watch for? Thanks Gerry

Hy tealtale, cab corners and lower part of the front door post are prone to rust. I think the engine would be a 216 if still stock. As to price it's only worth what someone will pay for it, what is the asking price?

You'd have to post photos for even general estimates of value.

Do you want a truck that looks original (the chrome you describe was not available on USA trucks in 1952)?

I agree with Bill - $25K is way too high

Thanks for the inputs. I agree with the price being on the high side.I was thinking of the 17k range. As for the chrome, Not available in 52? What about 51? Dont have pics but can get some.

I have seen them for around $12,000 to $13000 for a pretty nice truck.
For $25000, it better be showroom floor perfect.

Good luck with your search Teal.
