old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 255 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 255 | Anyone ever remove one of those spotlights that mounts on the roof pillar? I've removed the mounting screws on the outside and anything that I can see holding it in place on the inside but it refuses to budge. Anyone know if the sleeve is threaded or anything odd like that? 1950 Chev 3800, the inner reflector on the light is stamped "GM". http://i1131.photobucket.com/albums/m545/carmental2/IMG_1150.jpegThis sucker is stuck, but I'd sure like to keep it and reinstall it without breaking it too badly. any advice? There may be detail differences but I think this shows how most come apart. There might be something in the accessory manual..but I don't know. Some one here will know.
