Which one, if either of these, is the correct oil filter setup for a 1951 GMC 1/2 ton?

I like the looks of the first one.

The second one looks just like an AC filter for a 1955 Chevrolet truck (it is a little different from the AC filter used on a 1954 Chevrolet truck). I do not know if GMC and Chevrolet used the same filter.

Neither of those pictures is the correct GMC oil filter.

The filter mounts on the right side of a GMC, not on the left as does a Chevy. The bracket has four holes in it that fasten to the side cover. Two 1/4 inch holes on top and two on the bottom.. The filters for a GMC and a Chevy are very different..

There are a few engine pics on my web page ( link below ) that show the filter..

I bought mine from a mother of a trucker in Arizona that frequents the Stovebolt Page. I am sure an ad in the swap meet would locate one for you..
