So after finally sorting out most of the problems in my 235 Chevrolet engine. I have discovered that the three on the tree linkage hits the manifold, is there any fix to this? by the way the truck is a 1951 3100 with a 235 engine

Stock manifold or dual? If dual you will have to creatively go around the second carb as you need that rod to adjust the fender to hood. If stock, gear in neutral, refer to owners manual. If you don't have one now is the perfect time to buy.

Sorry it's an offenhauser 2 x 1. The linkage from the steering column is hitting the intake. I've already addressed the fender support rod.

I actually went back to three on the tree about 7 months ago. I cut down one of the shift arms and added a new hole. That said, my Edelbrock is more curvilinear than your Offy.

Thanks! Do I have to remove the steering column to pull those shift arms?

NO, two small nuts on the underside, don't lose them. Measure, measure, measure, dry fit. Consult your owners manual for adjustment. One set that I did that worked well was to make up my own rods to the trans shifter arms using heim joints. Expect to spend a couple 8 hour days to get it right. PM me over the weekend if you get in a jam, or need a sanity check.

When you change the length, won't that change the throw? Also I feel like if I make one shorter I should do the same to both ?

Alterations will definetly affect throw. I resolved this by making "dogleg" extensions to reach under the intake. It took several attempts to get the the throw where I wanted it but has worked perfectly. See here.

Beautiful work Curt, very fine! I think that the Edelbrock is a different animal. Both throws are really short, actually it was what I was aiming for. I'll measure the total throw and take pics tomorrow.

I think we removed a 1/4" inch out of mine, could have done another 1/8" We had to bend the linkages a bit to get them to clear everything to the tranny, I also had to adjust on the rods at the connectors a bit but everything works good, I made a plastic one and tested it first. Pics below.
