For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 45 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 45 | Hi everyone, I have a 54 Chev truck 6400 2 ton. It is getting time to have it registered for the road and am a tad concerned about the weight as I do not want to get a truck licence.
Would anyone have an idea of the weight of this thing as it sits with no load, just a cab with a timber tray on the back.
Much appreciated, Thanks John. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 | | | | | | Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 45 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 45 | Thanks for that tclederman.
From my conversion table all total weights come to just under 2000kgs bar the largest total which is just over 2000kgs, (2018kgs).
Looks like I can use my car licence with the truck.
Thanks John. | | |
