You guys helped me identify the current engine in my '49 Chevy 3100 and it was appreciated.

Now I am trying to identify what may have been the original engine. I do not have the engine or the casting numbers. I do have what is said to be the number from the flat next to the distributor.

That # is: GBA344288

Thanks in advance.
