Don't know the answer to your question, but the changed diameter will affect your speedometer accuracy if that's important to you. Take onboard a GPS device, calculate the % of change and get together with a speedometer service to get your speedometer accurate again.

Just check the back space , but I think the trucks are the same.

I had 15" originally on my '40 and put 16" x 7" on recently , Just made the back space the same and no issues.

If they cleared fine on the '55 2nd that they came from, they'll work fine on the '55 1rst.

Went to Houston and picked up the wheels, American Eagle Alloy 15" series 218, back space 4", the tires he had on the rims when it was on his 55.2 were p225/75r/15 . I got under his 55.2 and checked out the 55.2 tie-rod end . every thing looked just like my 55.1 . So I'm sure they will be ok . my orig. back space is 3.5" ....
I wanted to use my original rims but they still had tubes in them , even with air in them they had rusted v. badly around the air stems , even to the point they would have to b welded and drilled out on the opposite side . then power coated at $45 ea. these rims was only $250,....

I want to thank u guys for all the help ....
