There's a lizard skin coating for both heat and sound proofing.
go to the lizard skin sight and read up on it.

There are threads on other sites about homemade lizard skin. Here's one: http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/alternative-lizard-skin-103610.html

I haven't tried it but it sounds interesting.

Here's bigger photos of the truck: http://www.classiccarmarketing.net/1951ChevySuburbanBrn.htm

It's a cool truck but I could have a lot of them for that price.

No value to a collector in that. And way overpriced.

Kicking self for selling off my Taskforce trucks.
Still looking for an LCF or conventional big bolt in decent shape.

As of 10-26-2022, A 55.2 Taskforce long bed now the work begins
