For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jun 2014 Posts: 20 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jun 2014 Posts: 20 | i just finished wiring my 53 3100 and rebuilding the gauges, i have a 283 and 12v, mechanical temp gauge its new for v8. i put a voltage reducer on the fuel gauge and wired it up it doesnt move at all stuck on empty. i noticed it looks like needl is contacting the gauge trim which probably means disassembly which is a big job at this stage. so i ask a dumb question are there any other options? | | | | | Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 113 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 113 | happened to me and a couple others on here I think. As much as I hated to do it, pulling it all back out was the only way. but before you tighten everything down this time when you get it working, check it. You are not alone in the problem nor the dread of redoing it. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2014 Posts: 20 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jun 2014 Posts: 20 | thanks, i appreciate your input. time for a redo | | |
