on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 255 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 255 | Hey guys/gals; I'd really like to put a sun visor on my 1950 3800 and I've been reading about the original Fulton visors and understand that the 807 model was designed for the AD trucks, while the 800 was designed for cars. Would really like to find an 807 - anyone have any leads? Have seen reference to a member named "Mother Trucker" but can't find a web site and it looks like that member has been inactive for a couple of years. Advice?
I always thought the shades were butt-ugly but just recently I have seen the light... er, shade... get it?

Will the 800 fit just as nicely and nobody will be the wiser? I've read horror stories about aftermarket 800s, and then other stories from folks saying they fit great.

The visors are also adjustable to a wide range of widths. To me the important thing to consider is whether you need a center support or not.

I'm good with a hammer, as the numerous bruises on my thumb will confirm, shouldn't be too tough. Thanks for the advice Tiny. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 6,378 Ex Hall Monitor | | Ex Hall Monitor Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 6,378 | The Fulton I have has the type of bracket shown here scrolling over half way down. The caption is "S Shape Flange". My body style should have had the bracket shown here in "Step 3" and "Step 9A" where the top bracket foot is closer to the middle of the bracket. Because of the workability of the bracket aluminum we were able to form the upper foot to conform to the curve of the door frame. Just be sure to leave about a 3" gap across the back edge to allow free passage of the air.

I have a 1950 3600 and am also looking for a visor. Any ideas of where to look other than buying a new repro? | | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 7,441 Bolter | | Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 7,441 | WishekBruce has not been here in two years.
