Please excuse me if this has been posted before. We have a new guy who is from Washington Sate and he is wanting to know "who's around." I told him of a few Bolters that I was aware of where they lived, but I hardly know very many anymore ... plus some of you are very covert. hahaha

Here's Steve's post in the Big Bolt forum about his new find (Chevy COE - cira 1941 - 46 ?? -- trying to figure that out).

So can you give a shot out so he may know who his Bolt Brethern (and Sistern, as John says) are. He especially wants to know who may be familiar with the Navy base there since he thinks this truck may have been associated with the Navy (markings).

HI PNW bolters. I'll throw my hat in the ring.

I'm new to the board but not to old stovebolts. I've had a couple, a 48 3100, then a 51 3800 these last 43 years. I've also worked on a bunch of them over the years from 1/2 tons to 2 tons and GMCs bigger than that. I live in Seattle and my 3800 now has retired to camper hauling duty and I have retired to camper driving duty from driving tankers round the regional. I just smile and wave now when I pass the open truck scales.

Washington State Bolters:

Just moved in from Virginia - - I had my 52 3600 trailered out here. I don't work on mine so I need the services of a good shop to trouble shoot the backfiring & stalling that makes it all but undriveable and an interior shop as my newly installed headliner has come adrift.

Any leads would be most welcome.

Just came across your post so this may be a little late. There is a shop near me in Granite Falls that is very knowlegeable about older rigs, I know that is too far away from you though. I would go to a napa parts store (NAPA seems to be very much in tune to older vehicles) and ask for a recomondation for a local shop that is familiar with a vehicle such as yours.

Just thought I'd throw in a hello sense I'm new here.

I grew up in northern Snohomish County before moving out north of Spokane, in the greater Colville area.

Same with Filson just saying hi. I'm out here in goldbar. HHsmith there is Dreamers rods and customs at 5701 Evergreen Way, Everett, WA 98203 went in there couple months ago and they looked like they had pretty good shop.
