Looks to be of good quality. I bought the 3/8 size for just under $25. Interesting. Let us know what you think. Did you get the "pro" or the economy 3/8?

Don't think I'd spend that kind of money for one though. Probably sell a lot if they could bring the price down to a reasonable level. dg Like manufacturing on the backs of Chinese slaves?

If it were sold by a manufacturer that I am familiar with, I think it would be worth twice the price. Their pro model is supposed to handle a 300 ft lb impact. I really have reservations about that. Other than that, it would really be a nice thing to have where a pneumatic ratchet is just a little too big. | | | | Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 10,059 Renaissance Man | Renaissance Man Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 10,059 | No Carl, like manufacturing on the backs of American slaves as we used to do a half century ago.
DG Now that made me laugh out loud, right there. Touche DG. Nobody knows what it feels like to go hungry anymore. Why work hard to feed yourself if you don't have to... Carl

Wait a bit, you'll be able to buy them at Sears I'd like to take one apart.... Wonder if it uses some sort of a small chain or a series of spur gears? | | | | Joined: Jul 2008 Posts: 93 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2008 Posts: 93 | Just looked on e-bay 3/8 $15 + $6.99 shipping ....30 ft/lbs torque #141150768972 ....If you put 30# on one end does it multiply on the other end , or still the same 30 ft/lbs ???? I have some. I don't use them often, but when you need them they are handy. Same torque in and out. | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | I looked at the site, it does look like a handy tool. However, for what I would need something like that for, the thickness of the tool would be an issue. At 1" tall, it's taller that the ratchet I would normally use that barely fits in the space (front strut mounts on mini vans). If they would make a low profile version of the 3/8" Pro, say no taller than 3/4", I might consider it.
