Is a damper on a '59 Apache needed or is the stock suspension already set up to handle pot holes, etc. If needed which supplier makes a good quality damper.
Next, what sway bar supplier have other Bolters used with success? Looking to make the truck float less from side to side. Other ideas are appreciated. Thanks.

A damper really isn't a requirement, though if you're going to put oversize tires on it (like I did with mine), they do help.
For sway bars, I have the front and rear kits from CPP. They work very well, keeps it relatively flat in the corners. The only gripe I have is with the front kit, the brackets that mount it to the axle were too small to fit over the it. The instructions mention possibly needing to grind the axle to fit, I wasn't comfortable with doing that, as it would have required about 1/4" total to be ground off. I made new mounts for it instead, sized to fit my axle.

I installed a heavy duty tie rod and new tie rod ends, and a steering damper, and gas shocks. My front end is real solid now, most small potholes I don't even notice. No bump steer whatsoever. Only negative is the truck is a little bit harder to steer at very slow speeds. Don't think I need a sway bar.

Yes, heavy duty tie rod set was from Classic Performance Parts, as well as tapered roller bearings that I installed. Excellent parts and service from these guys. Hard to beat prices too!

The HD tie rod is a great upgrade. The stockers are bad about bending. I also installed one on mine, but I kept the stock ends.

I just replaced both the rod and the newer design tie rod ends,what a difference that made. Got all the parts from classic.
