For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2013 Posts: 78 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2013 Posts: 78 | I decided at the last minute to pump out my tank on my truck and clean it out before sending it off to paint (tomorrow). I pumped the tank out and to my surprise found leaves, dirt, and o-ring, and this!!!! A pair of vice-grips still attached to the inside nut for the fuel line flange. Who leaves a pair of vice grips in the tank!!!! PS- wanted to attach pics but don't see how to do that on here... | | | | | Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 2,237 Moderator: Interiors, Texas Bolters, Name that Part | | Moderator: Interiors, Texas Bolters, Name that Part Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 2,237 | hopefully that means you have a new set of vicegrips that you can still use! I have not found anything interresting as of yet.. other then rust. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2013 Posts: 78 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2013 Posts: 78 | Yep the vice grips are shiny like new from soaking in gasoline for years. I've also found about a dozen hypodermic needles throughout the truck, in the doors, behind the seat, etc... I think the previous owner was diabetic as all the needles have been capped and new (not used thankfully).
