Lots of work on Brad's part ... pure enjoyment (and references) for you!

For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2013 Posts: 60 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Aug 2013 Posts: 60 | My ratty 1939 truck that I bought last year is luckily almost entirely complete. I say luckily because I'm learning really quickly that parts are very expensive for them. One of the only things I'm missing is a front bumper. I found a rusty but otherwise decent one for $300, and I just really don't have that much to spend on such a thing right now. It got me thinking, however, that the truck is ancient and ratty looking, almost scary in a way, and I suddenly wondered what alternatives to the stock front bumper you guys have seen that might be cool. Anybody have any pictures of a '37-'40 truck like mine with anything interesting, like an old cow pusher mounted to the front? Post pics if you've got them, please! I'm curious to see what's been done. I can probably fabricate something myself if I have a good idea of where to start.
Thanks.
Dan
