| | | | Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 45 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 45 | I have now put the hole truck together except the interior and I have two things that I can't get to work the way I think they should. One is the clearance between the bottom of the side panel of the hood to the top of the inner fender and a inch into the inner panel. Now the hood fit correctly between the grille housing and the top of the cowl. The fender is attach to the inner fender and it is attach to the grille housing and the frame in front of the cowl. The body lines on the hood line up. Now the problem is that I have a inch of space between the bottom of the hood panel and the top of the inner fender, a inch to the inside, and a inch and a half between the fender, now that is on the driver side and I have a little less on the passenger side. Now my other problem is that I can't get the fender to bolt to the running board correctly. I can get the fender to hit all the hole on the front of the running boards, but I have a inch and half space from the outside of the board to the fender on both sides and if I move the fenders to the outside I have a inch and a half space between the inside of the fender and the cab. Now the fender are fiberglass and they look great and hit the holes on the grille housing and is the correct distance to the running board, they are not wide enough on the parts that bolts onto the running board which are original and I think that is what you get with fiberglass. It is almost like the truck cab is not down on the frame far enough, but it is bolt to the frame on the from two holes and I have original wooden blocks on the third sides holes and the original spacer on the rear. It is not so bad that you notice the gap, but there is no way to bring the inner fender out and up to the bottom of the hood lower panel without some major mods and I am not going to do that at this late date. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Norm
