I am trying to figure out which radiator style to use for my 59 on a 2002 Tahoe chassis. The Tahoe rad was way too wide, so sold it with the clip. I did not get one with the 59, so I can choose. I found a crossflow conversion rad, but don't know if it is an advantage. I plan to add vintage air if it matters.
Does anyone have experience with a 5.3 LS radiator?

They named it Apache cause it has a patchy welded here and a patchy welded there.

do you have the sheet metal together? how did/will you mount the front clip? the 59 core support is pretty critical for that, and the original rad should handle any V8 and the AC

Once it's together measure, then go to your local performance shop and look through your catalog. The rad in my '46 on an S-10 is an aluminum direct-fit rad for a Hemi 'Cuda, turned sideways.

Downflow or crossflow doesn't matter, you're just going to want the biggest rad you can fit into the space you have available.

I did use the original core support, just fabbed some outboard supports to mount on Tahoe body mounts. The crossflow is designed to work with it.

Red 58 I sent you some pics a few years ago of an odd factory 2 spd electric wiper setup. I do have it working, but will need a PLC to make it pulse with my Tahoe column controls. just one more thing on the list.
