Arena games got boring when the Romans took the swords away from the gladiators! Jerry

I can explain it to you, I can't understand it for you.

Not sure, but the 383 can be a tire smoker with the right buildup. The MOPAR B block engines were the ugly second cousin to the hemi and the 413/440 family, but they're sort of sleepers. With a little tinkering, the 400 crankshaft fits, and makes the B engines real torque monsters. Jerry

My blower motor is fun and all but when stuff goes south it sure cost a lot. I wonder what trans he will use, 727? I hope his heads and intake are matched to the cam. A cool but tricky conversion he is planning. Lots of fab work I bet.

I built them to hang with some pretty beaned-up 440's a few years ago. Jerry

I am excited for the man. Muscle cars/trucks are awesome. Just drove mine to in & out and got a burger and shake. It's 3 different shades of primer and I still get the thumbs up from people.

Have been looking at Summit they have a kit it includes a lunati cam #10230701K ,an intake ,a Holly carb and other stuff for a fair price I would still have to get the valve springs.I'm going to call Summit and see if I can get the 702 cam.
This is going to be a fun build.I'm going to build it to drive daily and enjoy.

They are ceramic coated inside and out.Looks 50s hot rod.

I drove my truck for the first time in 2 weeks this morning. Now my truck is an over carbed, 2200rpm stalled pleasure to drive. Sounds like an airplane though.

I have spent a considerable amount of time in both facilities discussing special cam grinds our team used at the Nashville Fairgrounds round track with their R&D people. At one time, my father was involved in field testing new round track grinds for the Comp Cams guys. They sent him several free cams, and he reported on their performance in the real world of short track racing, plus his dyno tests before the engines even went into the cars. Both companies are top notch. Over 30-something years, I have won a bunch of races with both brands of cams. Lunati seems to work better for drag race and tractor pull cams- - - -Comp seems to have a slight edge on circle track applications. The R&D guys at Lunati tend to take a slightly more radical approach to cam grinding than Comp does.
A 2200 RPM stall speed converter will chirp the tires every time you leave a stop sign- - - -hope the cops in your area are pretty tolerant. Your car, your choice, and there's no right or wrong as long as you like what's happening. Jerry

He's been busting me since I was 14 and stealing his golf cart at the high school. I don't play in the residential areas, I have kids and I would be a lil upset if someone sped down my street. I hit the highway on ramp around the corner and the industrial park.
My cam is lunati hydro roller 298/286 with 112 lsa and 108 icl. Idles pretty smooth for a dual 780 carbed 8-71 on a 383 sbc right at 1100rpm in park.
