I installed my new floor mat (1952 1/2 ton) that I acquired from Classic Parts. I had heard various reviews both good and bad about the quality of the repop floor mats. So, I was prepared for a poor fit, etc. In the end, I decided to use the cut out guides on the back side of the mat and I am very happy with the results. the cut out are mostly perfectly located. The only cutouts that need a little extra clearance were for the clutch and brake pedals. All others were spot on. There was not cut out guide for the stomp starter pedal, so I had to locate that on my own (a 2" diameter circle works perfectly). Here is a photo showing the results. It seems I did not fit the mat down next to the foot brake before snapping the photo, but that fit is spot on as well. So, I highly recommend the mat from Classic Parts.
Looks great Dave, and those DuPont interior colors are great looking also. We've discussed the Mariner Blue and he interior 'champagne' but have we talked about the mast jacket color yet???? That's always a hard one to nail down but yours looks, as you say, spot on. Seems like that was covered in a thread somewhere but my fading memory as I grow older is my curse. Denny G
Denny- Recently I saw a truck painted with a BMW color, Kalahari Beige. My first thought was, "Wow, that would look good on the interior of Stovebolt." Just something to look at.
Yep, at first glance that does look very close. I've got hundreds invested in different paints in an attempt at finding an exact match but haven't pursued it the last few years. I just can't afford to buy anymore custom mixed paint now days. I would like to add a chip sample to my paint cabinet if anyone has the moxie to have some mixed and give it a try.
You have inquired previously about the mast jacket color. I painted the jacket with...wait for it...Rustoleum #7754. The difference might be that I cleared it with catalyzed automotive clear for durability.
"Whitedog" (name?), I once owned a 2006 BMW 760Li in Kalahari Beige. Beige is a bad description as the color is more gold than anything else. Name sounds bad, but color is actually very attractive and not very common on the 7-series. IMHO, the color is not even close to what was used by Chevrolet on the AD trucks.

In some of the very close shots you can see that gold tint that you mention. In the long shots it sure looks close. Might try to pick up a can of Duplicolor tough up to see how it looks next time I'm out.
I guess I should clarify, I thought it would be a good alternative to the "pearl beige" that was used on the 54-55 1st series. I know it's not a direct match to anything, I just like the color.
The truck I saw it on, was using just the solid basecoat, without the metal flakes. It actually was a nice color. I think the metal flake is what gives the Beamers more of the gold tone.
Chris (now I have a name). My bad as I assumed you speaking of an AD. The color is very nice, but the name scares people away. Here is a photo of my Kalahari Beige BMW I sold not too long ago. Photos do not do it justice.
There again, that looks like a close match David. (nice to have a name tisn't it). I don't see any hint of gold in your picture. Unless they us a gold metal flake. And as I've posted many times, the original interior color has a very, almost non existent metal flake. Still gonna look for some of that in touch up.
DavidF - Beautiful truck. Love the colors. Where did you get the interior color from? Hope to be to the point of sourcing paint in about 3 months and would like to find a tried and true source or code. Thanks!
Thanks "aggie jon". So, are you a TAMU graduate? My two oldest are currently enrolled at TAMU.
Anyway, I used Dupont Ful-Thane single stage. Color code C8306. I am very happy with the color. Compared to the original color it has a bit more metallic and probably more gloss. The color changes from grey to a slight brown tint depending on the light level. It compliments the blue nicely I think.
