I just pulled a horn from a 50 3/4 ton GMC, I am sure it is a six volt, I plan to put it in my 53 3100 that has been convered to a 12 volt system. Does anyone know if I can run the horn on the 12 volt system without frying the horn or should I put a 12 volt to 6 volt reducer?

Should be no problem, it works well for me.

No need for a reducer as long as you do not "sit on the horn".
