I was contemplating painting the interior of my 59 Apache, going with the Comanche Gold Metallic and Charcoal Gray that Jim Karras used in his restore. A couple of questions....does anybody know what color the gas tank should be? I did not see it mentioned in Jim's post. Also, I have a Graco 2900 Spray Station. It's an HVLP electric turbine. Will that work OK for interior work or would I be better off using something else? I'm still debating painting it myself or getting it painted....

Thanks!

I think "should" depends on what plant it came from, I've seen variations - if the back wall of your truck was interior color rather than "raw", it was painted before the tank went in, tanks were galvanized, so they wouldn't have been painted themselves
