I pulled the sm420 out of my truck today, and started cleaning it up. I found a few blue paint flakes on it. Is this transmission supposed to be blue, or what?

Ummmm! Iron grey or rust?? Not painted at factory. It may have gotten paint from spraying the engine assmebly, but wouldn't think trans would even be on the engine when they did that! Is your engine Blue? Is it just marking paint for model of trans from tranny factory maybe?

The engine is a 305 V6, and is a reddish orange, so it cant be from overspray. It was probably a marking or something. So, i'm guessing it was left bare metal then.
