No, this has nothing to do with the big rubber dust boot. Its like adding an inch and a half extension to the plunger. Turns out that piece is for booster systems. So, anyone doing a dual MC upgrade but no booster, there is a piece in the box that you don't need and will waste lots of time removing the MC, installing the MC, removing the MC, etc etc. LOL!
