Someone posted a similar frustration with the black "rubber" step-pads/fender-pads used on COEs (sold only by Jim Carter). The conclusion, after much conjecture about a variety of modern adhesives, was that there was not a commonly available satisfactory adhesive for some silicone rubber parts.
Supposedly, Jim Carter confirmed this unsolved adhesive problem with the COE rubber pads.
That conclusion seems odd. Let's hope someone has personal-experience information/solution (based on experience with these seals made with these recently available silicone rubber formulations).
