Roger,

First start with a test light to see if your switch is good. If you have power leading into the switch then test the power out on the switch going to the headlights when you pull the switch. If you have no power going into the switch then trace back to the fuse panel and check the fuse to see if it is good and also make sure the contacts on the fuse and in the panel are clean. If you get nothing on the switch out then you need a switch. If you do have power out the switch then test the light plugs to ensure power is getting there. If you have power there then you may have a bad ground on the headlights. Many times the ground in the harness or on the lights goes bad over time and you may just need to put a new ground wire in yourself to make sure they work well down the road.
