The electric choke needs to be powered by an oil pressure switch so it only gets voltage when the engine is running. Otherwise, if you start the engine, go back inside for another cup of coffee while it warms up, then it runs awhile and stalls, the choke will continue to be heated and release itself before you get back to start again. Then it's difficult to start the cold engine with no choke.
