Recently reassembled my foot activated starter & I seem to be missing somthing. When turned on end the starter shaft protrudes through the front houseing causing the armature to fall away from the brushes. I am wondering if there is a clip that should be installed on the shaft in front of the drive assy. but before the front bushing. There is a groove in the shaft but I dont recall a clip there on dissassembly. Any suggestions? Thanks. | | |
