For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 277 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 277 | I know this post is a little old but my fuel pump is leaking (1955 first series). Jim carter sells a glass bowl fuel pump that fits 37 to 62 but the other suppliers seem to make a distinction between 47-51 and 52-57. I am always leery of buying anything that fits a lot of years but this Jim Carter pump is on its way. Does anyone know what changed in 51/52? I suppose if its just an exit angle of the gas line I will be OK.
From the Jim Carter catalog... "Fuel Pump 1937-1962 Chevrolet and 1939-1959 GMC 6 Cylinder Glass Top Type
Item Number: ME737"
1955 First Series 3100
